Door Push Plates

Door push plates gained popularity during the Victorian era, a time when architectural embellishments were held in high regard and the industrial revolution made such luxuries accessible. Push plate application traditionally required handled pull plates to operate the inside swing of a door except in the cases that employed double action door hinges. Matching door pull handles and push plates were manufactured to compliment one another and the style of surrounding architecture.
