Wood Ornaments

The Queen Anne style dominated urban structural design from the 1890s through the early 1900s. Modeled after English Medieval architecture, the Queen Anne style gained popularity through pattern books and the availability of cheap sawn lumber used for architectural ornamentation. This decorative architectural trimming, commonly known as Eastlake ornamentation, was often applied to gable eaves and porches.
