Shaker Tape
Shaker furniture has changed little since originating in America during the late 1700's. Developed by a Christian sect known as the Shakers, the style reflected their values of simplicity and efficiency. Shakers favored fabric tape over rush, wood splint, or cane for seat weaving. Longer lasting, more comfortable and clolrful, cotton Shaker tape does not not dry out and break, pinch or snag clothing.
