Mounting Brackets
Hoosier style cabinets originated from bakers' cabinets in use at the end of the 19th Century. The baker cabinet consisted of a platform with drawers, two bins for flour or meal, and shelves for storage enclosed by wood or glass doors. By the turn of the century several furniture factories in the Midwest began making kitchen cabinets based on the bakers' cabinet designs.
