The standard bathroom of the early 20th century is strikingly similar to the typical bathrooms of today. The first bathrooms in America were sensations in hotels. The Statler in Buffalo provided a water-closet in every room, which unprecedented at the time. It makes sense that they were small under such circumstances, and like most modern bathrooms, they didn't even have windows. The hotel bathroom seems to have set the standard.
