Brick
Brickwork masonry consists of two or more courses of brick with horizontal units known as stretcher bricks united with transversely orientated bricks set into the wall known as header bricks. Various bonds are formed by differing header and stretcher patterns, which generally consist of aesthetic variations with little or no significant differences structural integrity. Vertically staggered bonds however are generally stronger and less prone to separation than non-staggered.
