Fused Glass
Contemporary methods of glassing fusing primarily involve the layering of thin sheets of colored glass producing an image or pattern, which is then fired in a kiln until the individual pieces are bonded. The kiln heating process involves a series of rapid heating cycles known as ramps fallowed by a succession of soaks whereby the temperature is held constant for a specific period of time. This process of ramps and soaks is applied to achieve the desired effect while maintaining ductility and durability
