Structures
Evidence of the first garden gazebos was discovered in ancient Egyptian a garden plan, which dates to about 1400 BC. Murals found within the tombs of Egyptian sovereigns illustrate garden designs featuring the aforementioned structures. Archaeological findings exposed evidence of walled gardens with autonomous structures reminiscent of the gazebo dating as far back as 2600 BC. Theorists speculate that the early garden structures were constructed as temples for communing with deities.
