Fountains

The earliest record of garden fountains was discovered in diagrams on the walls of ancient Egyptian tombs that typically illustrate rectangular courtyard pools surrounded by ornamental and fruit-bearing trees. Designed to fulfill both practical and aesthetic purposes, fountains served as social reservoirs serving the most basic necessity of human existence. With time, garden fountains become more elaborate structures built to exemplify artistic and social norms.
