Fountains
The earliest record of garden fountains was discovered in diagrams on the walls of ancient Egyptian tombs that typically illustrate rectangular courtyard pools surrounded by ornamental and fruit-bearing trees. Designed to fulfill both practical and aesthetic purposes, fountains served as social reservoirs serving the most basic necessity of human existence.
