Digital
Giclée, a French word, is a feminine noun denoting a spray of liquid and is thought to have been derived from the French verb gicler meaning to squirt. The giclee print connotes a process whereby images are developed from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto a range of backgrounds depending on the artists inclination. The outcome produces superior color accuracy and no discernable dot screen pattern as there are no screens or other mechanical devices are employed in the process.
