Stained Glass
Stained glass is colored by adding metallic salts during the fabrication process, however the process also refers to glass that has been colored by painting and then fired in a furnace. Stained glass windows are created by arranging pieces of the colored glass to form patterns or images. The glass is then secured using strips of lead, with the finished work being supported within a rigid frame.
