We create chip carved small furniture such as tables, jewelry armoirs, various size boxes, plaques, goblets, bowls both with and without lids and communion sets. Some are stock items, others are made to order. We believe most all are unique in appearance. The carved designs you will see vary from simple to intricate. My love of wood working led me to chip carve most of our products. We hope individuals would feel they are future heirlooms. Being proud of our work, all are signed and dated. I should add my wife has been my greatest inspiration and critic.
The typical wood used is basswood sometimes used in conjunction with walnut or birch. A Sutherland Welles finish product is used for those surfaces in contact with food or drink.
