Casting
Casting is a process whereby material is introduced into a mold in a liquid state, allowed to cool and consiquently solidify in the shape of the mold and then removed resulting in a fabricated object. The finished product is known as a casting. Casting is often employed to create copies of an original piece of artwork. This process, particularly when performed with molten metals, is also called founding.
