A fascinating example of tribal armor. This warrior's helmet is formed from a tough cap made from woven split rattan. The inside is lined with burlap and the outer surface is covered with hard seed pods which are affixed to the base with rattan strips. The rim is softened with a bundle of horse tail hair, likewise bound to the body of the helmet with fine split rattan. .....A truly unique piece of primitive armor. Measures approximately 9 1/2" outside by 6" high. SOLD!!!!
