Large Flow Blue Ironstone Spittoon Scinde by Alcock 1845
A very rare and unusual Flow Blue Ironstone tall spittoon is offered here. Pattern is most popular "SCINDE" by Alcock , made in Staffordshire around 1840's. Stands 13 inches tall is 9 inches in diameter at it's widest point. Condition is excellent with only a fine , tight line on rims edge and some very fine crazing showing mainly on underside. The rarity here is in the footbath and smokers set , with this piece. A fine addition to a wash set, Never seen afull size spitton in Ironstone , before this one!
