A.Hot-Dip Galvanized nails should be used when you do not want the nail to rust. All outdoor applications usually require galvanized nails. If the nail is not galvanized, it will rust if exposed to the elements. However, the 'streaking' effect achieved with ungalvanized nails outside is sometimes preferred to the matte silver color of the galvanized nail.
