Ice Box Hardware
The Reverend Marcel Audiffren, a Cistercian monk and physics teacher, devised the earliest successful solution to the problem of containing the ice box refrigerant charge. In France in the early 1890's he invented a curious device using two rotating shells, in which were contained an entire refrigeration system.
