Fine Finishes

Oils can be broadly categorized as drying and non-drying oils. The drying oils such as linseed or walnut oil eventually dry to a hard finish while the non-drying oils will merely harden into a sticky mass. Linseed oil was most commonly used due to its properties and its abundance as a by-product of flax production.
