Cut Nail Finishes & Treatments

STANDARD NAIL
Standard Cut nails are steel cut nails with a dark, powder gray finish which can be clinched; not a hardened nail.

HARDENED NAIL
Hardened nails are nails that have been heat-treated and tempered for special hardness.

HOT-DIPPED GALVANIZED NAIL
Hot-dipped galvanized nails are zinc-coated nails, hot-dipped in molten zinc, to resist rusting. Can usually be clinched. These are not hardened nails.

BLACK OXIDE FINISH
Black Oxiding imparts a matte black finish etched to the surface of the nail.  This finish is available as an option on any pattern with the exception of hardened nails.
