Art Abstracts By Painter Kim Dean

View a new perspective on life and the human spirit. Experience the emotion of a mother/artist.
In 1998, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Loving motherhood, I decided to have another little boy a year and a half later. This awakening gave me a fresh new perspective on life and love. I had a reason to truly live and not just for myself. It was this awakening that made me want to start creating again. I describe my work as objective and non-objective modern abstract. I love the human form but also like to work with the abstract. As a painter, I am motivated by my life's experiences. I hope to depict that constant battle from within. The power struggles of life. Complete happiness to complete sadness. Searching for perfection within a painting but realizing that this can never be accomplished. What is perfection? Sometimes, the simplest image is the most powerful. It is such a challenge to use simple forms to create strong emotions and deep intrigue. The soul must enjoy what the eyes see and the heart feels. My work varies from the simplest images and shapes, to the most complex. When I create, I hope to make the viewer experience motion and movement within the canvas. Over-lapping intense color and creating a very busy little environment. I love the use of color! Every curve and line is important to the piece. A successful work of art attracts one's attention and holds onto it. The viewer should never get bored with a piece of art. This is my constant goal when creating. Very successfully, Kim Dean has been selling works via the internet. Once a client buys a Dean abstract they are hooked and tend to come back for more! In 1991, I attended The Savannah College of Art and Design.
