This piece was created from sketches made of my model Betty, late at night, after we had been working for many hours. As she was resting, she was talking about a lost love. This sculpture captures her as she quietly thought about the unshared part of her story. This figure is a one-of-a-kind piece, that has been fired bisque. A series of liquid metal layers has been applied and treated with chemicals to develop the patina. Layers of translucent acrylic have been added to complete the patina. This piece is sealed and waterproofed.
