These hoods are made form all natural fibers. I buy the kid mohair a friend who produces high quality, soft fiber for handspinning. I handwash the fibers, with a mild detergent; then spin the yarn before I knit the finished product. The hoods are soft, very warm and beautiful, as well as being fun to wear.
The fleeces used in these garments are from sheep raised locally in Western Pennsylvania and are handpicked for their quality, texture and color. We work with the fleece from when they are sheared (and sometime we help with that as well) until the completed item is sent to you. The kid mohair (from angora goats), the llama wool and alpaca used, also come from local sources.
