Lanterns

Lanterns can be divided into two categories, portable and fixed. The latter are usually identified by their location of use, i.e. ships lantern, street lantern, post lantern, carriage lamp, hall lanterns, etc. Portable types are classified by their materials shape or purpose. These include pierced, horn, bull’s-eye, wooden, tin or globe lanterns.
