c.1910 - AN EXQUISITE ARTS AND CRAFTS HANGING LIGHT OF ALL ORIGINAL GLASS, METAL, UPPER LIGHTS AND CHAINS. A beautiful fixture in all solid brass, hand-worked on all parts, hand-formed bends, edges, hammering, pinning. All the glass panels are original and in perfect condition. The panels are wide with a sharp bend downwards at their outward ends. Hammered brass throughout, edge-curled and cut on all the straps over the dome, the glass being of a deeply-dimpled type with rich caramel colorations. Everything is original throughout the fixture, including the three additional hangin lights (barebulb) from above, in leaf-shape covers. The original chains are heavy and also hand worked. Inside is a cluster of 3 sockets, and the assembly had spacing that called for 6 sockets. We are restoring this chandelier with 3 more old socket and pull-chains to give it its original six. RESTORED - the 100-year old patina is untouched and kept only lightly cleaned to not lose any character whatsoever.
