This is a Beautiful....Rare Antique Bronze Coin Medallion from the 1937 Italian Movie....Scipione L'africano (Scipione the African). The movie recounts the Defeat of Hannibal by the Roman Consular Scipione. Research shows that this movie was a propaganda film used by Mussolini to link his World War II campaign in North Africa to the Ancient Roman Empire and it's conquests in Africa. The Coin Medallion was used for promotion of the movie. It was given to a B24 Tail-Gunner by a female Italian admirer during WWII. This beautiful Medallion measures 1" x 1/32".
