Miniature Cast Iron Bucket of Infamous Origin

Cast iron hanging double bucket with ornamental lid, probably used for burning tallow as a source of lighting while suspended from the handle. Upon close inspection of the beautifully simplistic lines and ornamental lid, an infamous origin was discovered. Imprinted in the iron on the bottom of the bucket is a swastika. Although the swastika was originally used in earlier cultures, the origins and dating of this artifact clear. The Outside dimensions of the miniature vessel are 2.75 inches tall, and graduated from 3.5 inches to 2.25 inches from top to bottom. . The inner vessel is 2.25 inches tall with a inner container that is graduated down to 1.5 inches.
