A truely monumental Middle Sepik mask. Thick raffia fringe, geometric polychrome areas alternate with angular areas filled with shell. This mask was collected in the early 1970s in PNG and will augment the finest collection. It is a powerful and dominating mask, though certainly not intimidating. A mask like this would make a unique central decorative feature in a spacious room or on a good sized wall. Approximately 31" x 19"
