Neti are carved hardwood cams for holding the churn stick in place when making butter from yak milk in the Himalayas that border Tibet and Nepal. There seems to be no limit to the creative ideas that are expressed in these unique carvings. In this instance, a gender pair of figures with hands clasped over their chests sit atop a large fish. Pleasingly patinated with years of woodsmoke and butter fat, these old neti exude a fragrance and sheen that can only occur through extended use. Approximately 10" tall SOLD!!!!!!
