Fine Pair of signed 19th Century Girandoles - SC-462
These excellent pair of girandoles (the original term for mirrors with candle arms attached) are signed "V. SLAESIUS". They came out of an estate on the north Hudson River, and date from the mid-1800's. The material is beautifully formed cast brass with high-relief-design, and chased to perfection. They are in their original medium-darkened patina, incredibly lovely, and untouched. The mirrors are original, beveled, and in near-perfect condition. They can be used with candles, as originally intended, or carefully electrified (something we can do, if desired). HEIGHT: 23.5" x WIDTH: 8" x DEPTH: 3.5"
